Tuesday’s trend isn’t looking strong either. As of around 11 a.m. U.S. time, the film had earned just $18,000 for the day.
Tuesday is typically considered “deals day” in the U.S., with discounted tickets helping films boost collections.
The distributor has already enabled Regal Unlimited passes for HIT 3, which could help with footfalls — but there’s a trade-off.
Tickets purchased through subscription services like Regal Unlimited yield significantly lower returns for distributors, which in turn increases the break-even target.
All eyes are now on this week’s performance. Whether HIT 3 can sustain its initial momentum and cross the break-even line will determine if the film brings profits for its North America buyer.
