Hot heroine sentenced to 26 years Jail!

Bollywood hot heroine Veena Malik has once again landed in a controversy. She is sentenced to 26 years jail for blasphemy by a Pakistani anti-terrorism court. She had attended a mock wedding episode of a television show on Geo TV in which she played a part based on the marriage of prophet Mohammad’s daughter.

The court opined that this is anti-Islamic and against Allah. Pakistan being an Islamic country, the programme aired received a lot of flak all over the country. Earlier such programmes were aired but they didn’t receive so much ire. Interestingly, the jurisdiction of this anti-terrorist court falls under the territory of India-claimed Kashmir.

The court order reads like this: “The malicious acts of the proclaimed offenders ignited the sentiments of all the Muslims of the country and hurt the feelings, which cannot be taken lightly and there is need to strictly curb such tendency.” Veena Malik who is presently out of Pakistan would probably return to the country in a couple of weeks and appeal in a higher court of law of the country.
