How is Rajamouli TFI's game changer?

One could call this as a perfect example of destiny without any doubt. Otherwise, how else could one explain the things that have been happening in Telugu cinema post SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali. The film has not just shattered the box office it has brought with a new focus, it has put spotlight on Telugu cinema like never before.

Just look at the films that are coming out now and the kind of reception it is getting among the non Telugu audience. Take the recent Kanche or the Superstar’s Srimanthudu, they are basking in the glory of the aftermath of Rajamouli directed epic.

It is destiny because, we Telugu audience clearly know that many of these supposedly new kind of non formulaic films to ‘outsiders’ have actually been started and completed before the Baahubali phenomenon. It’s just that these films are releasing now after it. So what has changed before and after Baahubali, well, that’s what we are saying, it’s the focus that Rajamouli has brought on them now.

Rajamouli has single handedly with sheer dedication made Telugu cinema proud nationally and expanded its market and reach globally. Can it become the seed through which we could see a new beginning and growth of Telugu cinema that gives the audience wide variety of films they have been missing for the past few years? Going by the current set of films and few in discussion one can be safe to say TFI is going in right direction. Three cheers to Rajamouli and the foundation he had laid.
