How Much Does Brahmastra Need To BreakEven?

Bollywood’s much-hyped VFX drama Brahmastra was released this week, and despite mixed reviews, the film has been performing exceedingly well, surpassing all the expectations.

The film has collected around Rs. 120 crore net from the first weekend, out of which 108 crores have come from the Hindi version and the remaining 12 crores from the regional versions.

According to trade pundits, the film needs to collect Rs. 250 crores for breakeven, which is quite achievable going by the trends at the ticket windows. The advance bookings for Monday also suggest a collection somewhere around 15 crores.

The first week will target somewhere around 180 crores and the remaining 70 crores from the subsequent weeks. There is also this Rs. 75 offer on September 16th in all the theaters nationwide, which should give a huge boost to footfalls for Brahmastra.

The box office experts claim that the collections from overseas are also looking phenomenal, and Brahmastra might collect somewhere between 180-200 cores during its complete run from the international markets.

What was looking like a losing proposal due to its huge budget before the release is now on course to become a HIT with decent profits to all the parties concerned, especially if we include the satellite and digital rights.
