Khaidi on His Way to Beat Baahubali

It is the highest for a Tuesday premiere but there are no other biggies in recent time with same day release. The film got good talk and ended up collecting 2 Million. If we go some time back there is Charan’s Govindudu Andari Vadele. The film had not so encouraging talk it couldn’t get to a Million.

The bottom-line here is a mid-week release is not a bad thing if the movie gets a good talk. Wednesday and Thursday might not be big but they will certainly be better than the Monday and Tuesday that follows regular weekend and there will be the usual Friday to Sunday pick up. It means for a film with good talk, Tuesday release gives an extra push in numbers.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback is forcing all the harshest critics to reevaluate all the expectations, they had until now. The film is now already the highest Tuesday premiere grosser and is racing ahead towards the Million.

It would be really extraordinary if Khaidi No 150 beats Baahubali premier record ($1.36 Million) because it is a comeback film of an old star but also the circumstances. First of all, it is January season which and secondly it is a mid-week Tuesday release.
