How Uppena Escaped OTT Risk!

Panja Vaishnav Tej’s debut movie ‘Uppena‘ opened to a positive talk from all over and the makers are getting big appreciation for resisting an OTT release and waiting till the theatres opened up. This is a dream come true for any debutante. Here there are three namely heroine Krithi Shetty, director Buchi Babu Sana including the hero, Vaishnav Tej.

The movie was supposed to release last year and it was delayed because of the pandemic. But, that same thing turned out to be a big benefit for the movie that could meanwhile build a good hype on the movie by the time audiences were theatre ready. Being a new comer, the movie could have gone for an OTT release.

The producers were able to hold on for a theatrical release till things got better. Now, the result is fabulous and they can’t ask for more as the response is quite overwhelming. There is another good thing about the movie’s OTT streaming rights.

The streaming rights of the movie are with the giant digital streaming platform Netflix. Unlike, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix doesn’t rush and stream the new releases in two weeks. Therefore, ‘Uppena‘ will get enough and better theatrical run. That means more footfalls in the theatres.
