Huge Backlash for Marco: Disgusting & Shameful

Unni Mukundan’s most violent movie in India, Marco, which was released on December 20th, has received positive responses from the audience and is doing well in box office collections.

Now, a section of people is criticizing the censor board for allowing so much blood, gore, and violent scenes in Marco.

The movie’s producer, Shareef Mohammed, has stated that the violence and brutality in Marco were toned down slightly after censorship. However, significant scenes were not cut, as the movie was even more brutal before censorship.

Many people on social media have commented that Haneef Adeni’s Marco is not for the faint-hearted, as some viewers even vomited in theaters while watching the movie.

Even though the Hindi film Kill features more violence, it does not involve women and children. However, Marco includes violent scenes involving women and children.

Marco has become a super blockbuster in theaters, which may increase interest among filmmakers to add more brutal and gory scenes in future movies just for shock value.

Violent movies like Marco are harmful to society, and audiences should not celebrate such movies, say critics on social media.

However, despite the criticisms, Marco is doing well at the box office, and today the Tamil version of the movie was released in theaters in Tamil Nadu, with theaters reporting good occupancy.
