Huge Budget for Medium Hero. Is That Needed?

Sai Dharam Tej made a decent name for himself with back to back hits in the form of Subramanyam for Sale and Supreme. But sadly, his next film Thikka disappointed big time and gave the young hero a speed bump in his career.

Looks like he has not learnt a lesson from that failure and those who are making films with him are also taking a huge risk by spending some unnecessary money on a medium range star like him.

Tej’s latest release Winner has some lavish production values as so much money has been pumped on to the project which was not needed for a star like him. Even though Tej did a decent job in the film rest of the things fell flat and disappointed the audience.

Seeing such things there is only one question which arises that why are directors making producers spend so much money when they clearly know that the returns would be quite minimum.

In Tej’s case the same is happening. If it was a general failure then the pain would be lighter but here Tej’s career gets a jerk along with a huge loss of money for the makers.
