Hyderabad airport to introduce first ever e-boarding facility

Shamshabad Airport of Hyderabad becomes the first in the country to launch e-boarding facility. All the domestic passengers will be able to use this electronically enabled boarding solution.

The facility was developed in house by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited and the airport managed an approval from Bureau of Civil Aviation Security under the Ministry of Civil Aviation in August 2015.

This solution will ensure the a domestic passenger will need only a mobile e-boarding card and his Aadhaar Card number to gain entry into the airport. It will eliminate the cumbersome process of standing in huge queues for physical boarding cards and their stamping.
