
During the interview, Kamal Haasan expressed his disappointment over the fact that Hyderabad kinda took away the pride of Chennai. He remembered how Chennai was considered to be the hub of South Indian cinema.
He said, “Hyderabad has taken away the pride of Chennai being a national film making center. Bombay is a Hindi film making center but Chennai was a national film making center, AVM made films in all languages.”
As Kamal said everyone is coming to Hyderabad to shoot their movies in Ramoji Film City and to use other readily avaialble infra in in the city. Even the biggest Bollywood movies are shot in RFC these days.
Kamal Haasan said that he wants to do something that will bring back cinema to Chennai again.
