Swachh Hyderabad much away from Swachh Bharat target!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had taken up the Swachh Hyderabad initiative very seriously and spent good amount of time and money on cleaning the city. However the program seem to have not yielded any result.

Among the 476 Class 1 cities nationwide in Swachh Bharat initiative, with a population of one lakh and above, Secunderabad was ranked at 191 and Hyderabad, 275. The same is with the case of other cities in both the Telugu States.

Only Warangal in Telangana got a decent rank of 33 while Nizamabad is at 82. Three cities from AP found their place in the Top 100 list — Vizianagaram 58, Narsaraopet 59 and Guntur 70. Telugu governments may better concentrate in that direction.
