I am a bad copycat – Thaman

From Pilla Chao in Businessman to the latest Ganapathi song in Dictator, what’s the first thing that comes in a listener’s mind? If one is a music lover and hears different stuff they would get it easily that they have been copied songs. Unfortunately these songs happen to be from music director SS Thaman and he get’s trolled a lot for them.

When the same thing was asked to the musician, he openly denied copying the songs and put the blame squarely on the film team with director getting the top priority. How can any musician in this age copy a song and get away was his answer to the question. He said that sometime particular tunes are favored out of time constraint and he had to deliver.

In fact the musician says he is a bad copycat since everyone easily picks them. If he were a good copycat people wouldn’t have find them out in the first place, reasons the music director of Bruce Lee. Do you agree with his logic?
