I can’t read Telugu, It’s an advantage – Mahesh

Mahesh Babu’s mother tongue is indeed Telugu but as he was brought up in Chennai and his second language in school ha been Hindi, he can’t read Telugu. Mahesh feels it as an advantage as he will not be having a pre-conceived modulations.

Everything comes out spontaneously and realistically since he can’t read. If you know how to read, one would memorize so much that you have a modulation says Mahesh. The spontaneity would be lost. He might be right as such things are subjective, depends on one’s own experiences.

He is also called a perfectionist in the industry because he isn’t satisfied and takes retakes. Mahesh doesn’t agree that he is a perfectionist. He says, he is never satisfied and hence wants better output. That’s the reason he goes for number of retakes. He is busily promoting ‘Brahmotsavam’ these days.
