Despite this craze for her, Rashmika Mandanna has been maintaining a low profile because she has been trolled viciously after she broke the engagement with her ex-boyfriend Rakshit Shetty, the hero of her debut Kannada movie. She was quite affected by the online trolls who had been very cruel and made an issue of everything about her. There was a time when rumours spread that the kissing scene in ‘Geetha Govindham’ was one of the reasons for the breakup.

Rumours also surfaced that she will be bidding farewell to Kannada Film Industry but the actress is doing a Kannada film now and has signed another film ‘Pogaru’ with Dhruv Sarja, senior actor Arjun Sarja’s nephew. She is in consideration for a couple of movies in Telugu and Tamil, even.
