I makers to go for re-censor

Director Shankar’s magnum opus is heading towards the final formalities of release. It has completed its censor work and has got U/A rating from the board. But the makers seem to want to send the movie for censor again.

But why would they want to send it again when it’s been cleared? Well, I is a very expensive movie made not just in Kollywood but whole of India as well and it has been sold to record prices to recover those costs. So naturally when they have such huge burden on their shoulders, they would do well to have all the benefits in the world so that it’s reduced. That is exactly what they would get if they have a U certificate for the film. In Chennai U certificate means there is no entertainment tax on the film and it is for this tax free status they are going to send the film to censor again.

Irrespective of these censor formalities, release date of the film has been locked. I will have a grand worldwide release on January 9 in both Tamil and Telugu.
