'I used to hang around the sets to get into the mood'

Rana had two back to back period films though they belong to different genres. One is a historical drama and the other one is a fictional epic drama. Those characters aka Chalukya Veerabhadra and Bhallaladeva demanded a different attire, attitude and body language altogether.

After these two films, Rana had to come back to playing normal characters. He had to unlearn the mannerisms he got used to over the period of more than two years. Rana says, it’s really hard to move on and emotionally taxing to get out of a character one has got involved for a considerable period of time.

To overcome that, Rana had to learn everything again and when he had to play the role of a guy who has a shady past in ‘Bangalore Days’ remake, he used to hang around the sets of the film to get back to play a common guy, not any prince from bygone days.
