Illegal affairs responsible for elimination of spouses

Police Records in Vizianagaram and Vishakapatnam suggest that majority of crimes taking place in the region may be attributed to illicit relationship, jealousy and fear of losing their love are on the rise and women are the victims in majority of the cases. This is not the case only with Uttarandhra and is a major problem across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana..

This problem is higher in Urban areas where the relationships between wife and husband are deteriorating due the busy lives. Hence, to take revenge or to get rid of the spouse, one partner decides to eliminate the other. According to the records, extra marital affairs remained one of the major reasons in at least 15 to 25 murders in every 100 murders that take place in a year.

Often these problems remain between the couple and four walls of a room and do not come out unless situations go out of hand. However Police say in many cases, counselling given to the partners by elders in the family or women’s organisations will be one of the solutions to prevent such crimes.
