The director has now revealed that he is in no hurry at all to release Marakkar. The movie stars Mohan Lal in the lead and is based on a real story of a warrior. There was massive hype on the film in Malayalam, and it was also slated to release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.

Priyadarshan says that there are far more important things out there to take care off. The movies and entertainment aspect should be the last thing in people’s mind. Marakkar would, therefore, according to him arrive towards year-end in December or even early next year depending on the mood of the audience. Whenever people are ready to enjoy the cinema, the movie will hit screens.
