India stops to say Goodbye to Kalam!

Former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam was put to rest in his home town, Rameshwaram. His final rites were conducted following Islam traditions amid military honours. Earlier his mortal remains were taken as procession from Kalam’s residence to the final rites site. Huge number of people thronged to Rameswaram from all corners of the country to pay their last respects to the Missile Man.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Manohar Parrikar, Venkaiah Naidu and Pon Radhakrishnan, Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad were some among the dignitaries attended the final journey of Kalam and paid their last respects.

No politician had ever commanded such huge respects from people in the last few decades. He was a touring personality who dedicated his life to nation. We will certainly miss his services. Lets all pray for the People’s President to comeback to us!
