Indian OTT: Two New Exciting Films Premiering Tonight

The Indian OTT space recently had an exciting outing – Asur 2 which opened to excellent reviews much like the first season. This series is streaming on ZEE5.

Now, there‘re two new outings in the Indian OTT space this week and they are 2018 and Avatar 2.

2018 is a survival thriller pertaining to the real life incidents that happened during the horrifying 2018 Kerala floods. The film has Malayali stars like Tovino Thomas, Vineeth Srinivasan, and others in the lead roles.

This is the kind of genre that will suit the OTT audience so there could be some anticipation on the same. It will stream on Sony Liv in multiple Indian languages from tonight – technically from 7 June.

Then there’s the Hollywood box office blockbuster Avatar 2. Ideally, films like these are meant for big screen viewing but for those who’ve missed the opportunity, this film is now set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 7 June.

These two new OTT outings have good prospects amongst the Indian OTT folk. Will they strike a chord and turn out to be hits on OTT as well? We shall se.
