Tiger Shroff’s recent movies like Heropanti 2 and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan turned out to be colossal flops, but his biggest disaster to date is Ganapath released last year. Despite its massive budget, it’s been a major letdown in Indian cinema in terms of filmmaking, storytelling, and acting.
With a budget of 200 crores, the film barely made 12 crores net at the Indian box office, with distributors getting less than 6 crores.
Surprisingly, no OTT platform was willing to pick up the film.
Even Netflix, which initially showed interest, backed out after witnessing its box office failure. Rumors suggest that Netflix may have cited issues with the film’s visual effects and other unspecified standards that didn’t meet their criteria.
Now, the film has made its debut today directly on TV through the Sony Max channel.
In the South also, two films, Agent and Lal Salaam haven’t premiered on OTT platforms yet.
