Industry Rocking With Back-to-back Industry Hits

It’s very rare in any industry that all-time hits are being delivered regularly. In 2023, Bollywood delivered its all-time Hit, Pathaan, which grossed 1050 crores and within 9 months, Shah Rukh Khan crossed Pathaan with Jawan which became the all-time industry hit in Bollywood by collecting 1150 crores.

Now Malayalam industry is also delivering industry hits back to back. Just last year, Tovino Thomas’ movie, 2018, became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever by collecting 160 crores worldwide.

Now Manjummel Boys has emerged as the all-time Hit of the Malayalam industry by surpassing 2018 on Monday.

During its third weekend, “Manjummel Boys” earned 5.5 crore on Friday, 8.5 crore on Saturday, and 8.9 crore on Sunday. There was a slight dip in collections on Sunday compared to Saturday. The film’s total domestic earnings stood at a whopping 86.4 crore.

Moreover, “Manjummel Boys” has crossed the 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office, with total gross collections of 102.75 crore. It has also earned 55 crore overseas, taking its worldwide gross collection to an impressive 157.75 crore.

With Monday’s earnings, “Manjummel Boys” has surpassed “2018” to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. Notably, neither “2018” nor “Manjummel Boys” starred big names like Mammootty, Mohanlal, or Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The Malayalam industry is on a roll with back-to-back all-time hits.
