Interesting BO Clash: Mega Mass Vs. Tillu Swag

Megastar Chiranjeevi, after a spate of flops, gave a solid comeback with Waltair Veerayya this year. Despite cringe content, the film became a blockbuster as people loved Megastar in his vintage avatar, and also the festival season proved to be a big advantage.

Now he is coming up with Bholaa Shankar which is the remake of the Tamil film Vedalam released in 2015. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh. The film is all set to release on August 11, 2023.

On the same date, Siddhu Jonnalagadda‘s much-awaited sequel to blockbuster DJ Tillu, Tillu Square, is also releasing. The first part was a sleeper blockbuster, thanks to Siddhu’s performance, hilarious dialogues, chart-busting music, and a stunning Neha Shetty.

Except for Megastar’s superstardom, Bholaa Shankar’s strong points aren’t many. The remake factor is a big minus and on top of that, Meher Ramesh as the director brings a lot of negativity. The film has to be exceptionally strong entertainment-wise to emerge a winner.

On the other hand, Tillu Square also needs content that can match up to the original. The first one came without any expectations, but this one has a lot of expectations attached to it which will be challenging for the makers to reach.

The film will also need one blockbuster song apart from the original title track, which the makers are going to use in the sequel as well. Anupama Parameswaran also has the task of matching Neha Shetty’s sizzling act, which was one of the USPs of the first part.

It’s going to be an interesting clash this Independence Day weekend at the box office.
