Interesting Title for Rana’s Missed Debut

There had been a rumour that Rana Daggubati would be making his Malayalam debut alongside none other than Malayalam senior superstar Mohanlal in the third film of Major Mahadevan franchise. The first two were ‘Keerthi Chakra’ and ‘Kandahar’ in which the superstar played the fictional character as Major Mahadevan.

Rana Daggubati made it clear that he isn’t making his Malayalam debut alongside Mohanlal, though he considers it great honour to share screen space with the superstar. The title of the movie Rana missed for his Malayam debut is officially announced as ’71, Beyond Borders’.

The title is very much suggestive that it would have the backdrop of Indo-Pak war of 1971. Mohanlal is going to essay dual roles as both father and son. Both the roles are Major Generals in the Indian army. Those who had watched the prequels know it well that this franchise celebrates the sacrifices of our army and tells the untold stories of martyrs using fiction.
