Is it fair to hurl eggs on producer?

Wednesday turned out to be one bad day for Dil Raju and his ‘Kerintha’ team, who went to tour Srikakulam to promote their film. This is one case of calculation gone wrong. The team might have thought, it would be pretty exciting to visit a place whose typical accent was used in the movie for entertainment. But it turned out otherwise.

A group of ABVP activists protested against Dil Raju team, while someone from the crowd hurled eggs, alleging that their Srikakulam accent in shown in poor light. Visuals show that one egg hit hero Sumanth Ashwin. Though the producer pacified them by extending an apology from his side, one is left wondering on this kind of mob behaviour.

There are many ways to show anger like filing complaints or staging protests if sentiments are hurt. Is it really fair to attack with eggs on producer? The movie is in theatres since June 12. No such voice was heard regarding hurting the sentiments of Srikakulam people or their lingo. This sudden outburst is something unexpected for. Why didn’t the protests begin right after the film’s release?
