Is Mahesh Getting Carried Away?

Now, Mahesh Babu is on a special diet and also practicing some authentic action with the help of a special team flown from abroad. Why? It’s because he wants to look both lean and muscular. Again, why?

It’s learnt that the superstar is playing an army man in his upcoming movie ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ with Anil Ravipudi at the helm of the things as the director. Army backdrop seems to be a good thing as finally, we would be getting to see Mahesh Babu in a different role, altogether.

But, we have our own apprehensions. It’s said that the team was inspired by Bollywood patriotic movie ‘URI’. URI is out-and-out, a very serious patriotic film. Anil Ravipudi makes films that bank on hilarious comedy setups despite weak storylines.

So, URI inspiration is a bit strange as the director is good at comedy. In Telugu films, including the most recent Allu Arjun’s ‘Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India’, films with military backdrop rarely worked. Hoping big time that Mahesh Babu will break this long-standing sentiment.
