Time again and again is proving that remaking a classic film is tough. Bollywood is largely in to remaking Amitabh Bachchan’s movies off late. Except for Don, all of them failed miserably. A flop movie only gets you a bad name but while you make a remake of classic film and if it fails, you are bound to get brick bats. The same is the case of Ram Charan’s Zanjeer. The actor and his director Apoorva Lakhia are getting criticism worth a life time now with Zanjeer failure.
On the other side, Tollywood is not much in to remaking. It gets even tougher here as our star heroes got to act in greater than life characters in their blockbuster movies and it will be very tougher for current crop of actors to get in to their shoes and convince them.
