Is this 'Kabali' story?

Ever since Rajinkanth’s latest film was announced, the media has been buzzing with expected cast and storylines. This time, rumour mills are saying that Rajinikanth will be following in the steps of a well known Hollywood actor. More specifically, word is going around that for his next project, Kabali, Rajinikanth is going to step into the shoes of top Hollywood actor Liam Neeson. However, there is no official confirmation of the same.

The movie which is being said to be a gangster film, also stars talented Bollywood actress Radhika Apte. The film s about an ageing gangster called Kabili who goes to extreme lengths to search for his missing daughter. Avid watchers of Hollywood films know that this plot is straight out of Liam Neeson’s movie ‘Taken’ where an ex-military personnel leaves no stone unturned to find his missing daughter.

In our Indian version, superstar Rajinikanth will be playing the role of the ageing gangster, Kabali, while Radhika Apte will star as his wife and Dhaniskaa his daughter. We will have wait to find out if Kabali is inspired from this interesting plot.
