Tamil star Suriya is a gifted actor, and it needs no assertion. The film industry has a few more actors with a similar calibre like Vikram and Dhanush. However, among the three, only Vikram and Suriya could turn into major box office force. These three, along with Vijay, Ajith and Sivakarthikeyan is the overall six big stars of Tamil cinema, over the years.

However, among the six, Vijay and Ajith have taken their stardom to the next level whereas Vikram and Suriya fells back during the last decade. The former doesn’t look like hitting his peak stardom as a major star owing to age, but Suriya still has that capability.

The problem with Suriya has been a lack of a resounding blockbuster. A project or a set of them that only he can do without losing the core Tamil essence is the key to his revival. It is here that the upcoming two films of Suriya seems to align perfectly to bring back his box office fortunes. Soorarai Pottru and the much bigger and keenly awaited Vaadivasal with Vetri Maaran have lined up correctly. Especially the latter is among the top 3 most awaited flicks of 2021.

The first look of Vaadivasal is terrific, and similarly, the video of Soorarai Pottru is impressive, as well. A double punch at the box office with these films will definitely improve his box office standing. Following them with a fresh mass subject from Hari would be an ideal line up.
