iSmart Shankar Original iBOY on Netflix?

According to a report in the DC, Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming movie ‘iSmart Shankar‘ with energetic star Ram is an adaptation of the Korean film ‘iBoy’ which is presently being steamed on the digital platform, Netflix.

Whether it is a remake or a free-make, going by the Korean movie, heavy changes are needed to adapt the movie to Telugu nativity. Here, the point is, no one cares if it is adapted from any film or not.

Freemakes of Hollywood films or foreign films seems to be the order of the day and audiences have nothing to complain about as long as the directors get the right feel and the local flavor to a free-make though adopted from a foreign language.

It would be interesting to see how Puri has adapted the idea of implanting a mobile chip in the protagonist’s brain, to an out-and-out mass entertainer that seems to be a loud mass film of the face of it. Let’s see.
