IT industry of Vizag receives a shot in the arm!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is going to lay the foundation stone for four projects in Visakhapatnam in a month or so which will create required ecosystem to put Visakhapatnam on the world IT map.

The four projects are: a R&D campus by Society for Applied Microwave Electronic Engineering & Research (SAMEER), a joint venture tower between VUDA and Software Technology Parks of India, Signature Tower at Rushikonda and expansion of Sunrise Startup Village.

The government had cleared all the bottlenecks regarding these four mega projects. Currently HSBC, IBM, Wipro and Tech Mahindra are the main IT players in Visakhapatnam. They have clocked a business of around Rs.1800 crore to Rs.2,000 crore in the just concluded financial year.
