It Is Clear, Only Anirudh Can Do It!

If we look at the musical works of recent Tollywood biggies, we can onserve the trend that not many albums could set the playlists on fire prior to the release.

Guntur Kaaram had a decent album but these songs weren’t absolutely banging prior to the release. After the OTT debut, the Mawa Enthaina song trended because of the relatable theme.

Kalki had a weak album, which is of course in tune with the nature of the film and that is quite understandable.

It was only Devara which had an album that ruled the playlists before the film’s release. The Fear Song and Chuttamalle trended on mobiles before the release of the film and actually added some value.

In the case of Pushpa 2 now, though the songs promise to be slow burners like the usual DSP stuff, they haven’t trended before the release. Lastly, we have Game Changer which is agains lacking this kind of impetus.

It is evident that only Anirudh could deliver an album that could trend on social media and top playlists before the release and this happened with Devara. It is interesting that native DSP and Thaman are struggling to deliver bangers while other language Anirudh is doing the job.
