It Wasn’t a Dig at Nani – Director Clarifies

Prashanth Varma, the director of ‘Awe’ and ‘Kalki’ has to clarify that he didn’t approach Nani for asking to produce the sequel for his ‘Awe 2’ as the Natural Star is only keen on introducing new talent through his production house Wall Poster Cinema.

Actually, one of Prashanth Varma’s recent post expressing his tiredness over trying to find a producer for the sequel that he completed writing almost a year ago.

He wrote, “I couldn’t find a producer whose craziness matches that of the script. Trust me guys… I am really tired. So, it happens when it happens.” That led to speculations that Nani could have rejected producing the sequel for ‘Awe’.

There is a reason behind this. When ‘Kalki’ was in theatres, there was a rumour that Prashanth Varma’s next ‘Awe 2’ might by produced by Nani who produced the prequel that got him critical acclaim.
