It’s Not only DSP, Even Others Share the Blame

Devi Sri Prasad is no doubt the top music composer in Tollywood and he is the favourite for any big movies to be made. However, that doesn’t mean he is consistently delivering fresh and exciting tunes. All his recent tunes lacked the freshness and they look like they are copied from his tunes and they are unexciting.

He isn’t the only one to blame. Anup Rubens completed 50 movies as a music composer, he rarely delivers something fresh and new. We have another MD, SS Thaman, who also falls into the same category. Keeravani’s music doesn’t suit all kinds of commercial films. Hence, he is very selective.

The only hope as of now is Anirudh Ramachander who is presently doling out music for Pawan-Trivikram’s ‘Agnyathavaasi’. But then, this MD comes with a price and therefore won’t be doing many Telugu films. In this scenario, it’s time our top music directors reinvent themselves and try something fresh and exciting.
