Jaanu: Isn’t This What We Said Way Back?

Samantha’s stardom is at its peaks and she has been a force to reckon with her films in Tollywood. That worked for her big time when it came to ‘Majili’ and ‘Oh Baby’, but ‘Jaanu‘ turned out to be a big embarrassment for the star.

The reasons are simple. Firstly, choosing a classic for a remake is a bad idea (We published an article when the news was in gossip stage). Samantha even said that classics are not to be touched. Nevertheless, she accepted the movie keeping aside her opinion on remaking classics.

Secondly, film makers get carried with Original’s blockbuster success and euphoria but fail to judge it’s chances when it’s remade in Telugu.

Both Sharwanand and Samantha gave their best performances for the remake but, the movie left Sam with big embarrassment as a star and a hattrick failure for Sharwanad. It was indeed a bad idea to lay hands on a classic.
