Jagan Govt Begins Ground Work For Online Ticketing Portal

It is known to our readers that Andhra Pradesh Government is insisting on an Online Ticketing system for all the theaters in the state. The Government has also hinted that the contentious issue of Ticket rates will be addressed only after the portal goes live.

Even though the industry biggies have agreed to the proposal with no other way to go out, they have their apprehensions about the system. They hoped the government to make public the entire modalities of this portal before starting the work. But then, without any such clarification, the Government has started work on this new system.

The collectors of all the districts have sent forms to theaters in their jurisdiction collecting various details that are needed to be incorporated in the portal. Once the portal development is completed, the details will be uploaded on the portal and it will go live. The industry biggies are hoping that this exercise would complete at least by the release time of Pushpa in December.

But then, there are rumors that the Government may complete the exercise only by Summer next year. In such a case, we may see a postponement of many films.
