After a successful stint as a hero, Jagapathi Babu made a powerful comeback as a villain in Legend. He then appeared in several notable films, peaking with his role as the antagonist in Rangasthalam.

Beyond Telugu cinema, he portrayed villains in big superstar films like Bairavaa and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

When it was announced that Jagapathi Babu would play a crucial role in Pushpa 2, expectations were high. Many anticipated his character to match the intensity of his roles in Nannaku Prematho or even Rangasthalam.

However, his role turned out to be a damp squib.

Jagapathi Babu played Central Minister Kogatam Veera Pratap Reddy in Pushpa 2, but the character left little to no impact.
