Big Films Coming But No Noise At All!

Generally, when too big films are arriving at the ticket counter correspondingly, there is a lot of discussion happening. But that is not even remotely the case now, as we have a couple of films namely Jailer 2 and Ranabaali coming up this weekend.

We have the Rajinikanth film on October 15, while Vijay Devarkonda is closely following it up on October 16.

But in terms of anticipation and hype before the release, there is a lot of catching up to be done. The point to be noted here is that neither of the films have actually been able to generate much interest.

Comparatively Rajinikanth film is trending well with reasonable advance bookings. But for a film, marking the collaboration of Rajinikanth and Anirudh Ravichander, and moreover, being the sequel for blockbuster Jailer, better hype is in order.

Then we have the case of Vijay Devarakonda with Ranabaali. There is very little movement at the United States box office for this film. We will get a clear trend after the advance booking open domestically to see how it fairs.

Inadequate musical album by Ajay and Atul have come to haunt this film. The story could have been marginally better if the film had a good audio album. The option to go for this Bollywood duo hasn’t worked out yet.

But Vijay is still a strong name with the audience and if he can generate the right word of mouth with Ranabaali, then there’s good stuff to look forward to. It will all come down to the trust that the audience still have left in him.
