Janatha Premiers – En Route To Record

Among Telugu films keeping aside Bahaubali, there is a huge competition among the rest of stars to set new premieres record in the US. First attempt was by Pawan Kalyan and he just about managed to cross Srimanthudu which was previous highest. Then Mahesh Babu tried with Brahmotsavam but he failed to beat SGS.

The third star to take a turn to beat the premiere record is Jr NTR with the film Janatha Garage. The star was initially considered weak in this territory but he has been doing phenomenally well lately with his last film even crossing 2 Million. This, combined with the fact that he is joining hands with Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva has upped the expectations on the film in the US. A huge release of nearly 200 locations has been given to the film.

The early estimates coming in suggest that the film is surely in running for the non-Baahubali premiere record. The reported gross so far is around $ 200K which is superb. The important thing to remember here is that it is Wednesday night in the US and also the ticket prices are lower overall when compared to a Sardaar Gabbar Singh or Brahmotsavam. It means more people are interested in watching a Jr NTR. Now whether the star achieves the record or not this is a huge achievement in itself.
