Usually, actors from Mumbai and other regions hesitate to dub for their characters in South Indian languages, especially early in their careers.
But Janhvi Kapoor has made a bold move by choosing to dub for her role as Achiyamma in Ram Charan’s Pan-India film Peddi.
Delivering dialogues in the Vizianagaram slang is no easy task, particularly for someone unfamiliar with the dialect.
Yet, Janhvi has embraced the challenge, putting in extra effort to master the tone and rhythm required to bring authenticity to her character.
When director Buchi Babu Sana asked if she would dub for herself, Janhvi reportedly agreed without a moment’s hesitation. She is now showcasing remarkable dedication during the dubbing process.
So far, the makers have revealed very little of Janhvi’s character in the previously released glimpses.
However, the upcoming trailer, releasing on the 18th of this month, is expected to offer a clearer look at her role.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the film’s Powerplay Tour begins with the trailer launch in Mumbai.
