Trailer Talk: Mildly Engaging On Highly Familiar Lines

The hero of the film leads a happy life with love of family and a girlfriend. Either, the hero or people closely related to hero stumble upon something or watch anything that has direct involvement of the villain. Now, the villain is after them, and the hero has to save the day. That’s Jawaan?

Haven’t we seen that before? We have seen it, and most recently Naga Chaitanya made movies with a similar theme, not once but twice. So, Jawaan is on familiar lines undoubtedly. But the thing is it is still mildly engaging, at least based on the promo, as it gives the vibe of a better package. It also has more massy tones, even though it’s a tone down from previous Sai Dharam Tej films in an overall sense. It has every chance of being a boring and predictable venture, and low prospects of surprising. Still, the trailer does its best not to kill the film entirely.

Check out the trailer below. BVS Ravi directs Jawaan. It stars Sai Dharam Tej and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles. Tamil hero Prasanna plays the antagonist. Jawaan hits screens worldwide on December 1st.
