Teaser Talk: Village Based Drama With Suma

Here comes the teaser of Jayamma Panchayathi. It marks popular anchor Suma’s foray into movies after a long gap of almost two decades (playing an acting role, and not her). Jayamma Panchayathi is set in a village backdrop that holds the potential of a rooted rustic tale.

Coming to the small tease, the entire focus is on Suma. She channels her real-life persona on screen as she has a punch for all the questions thrown at her.

We get no clue on the premise of the Jayamma Panchayathi, though. All we see is a set of scenes headed by Suma dealing with different issues, likely to be tied with the basic narrative. We only get a hint at them and have to wait for the following promotional content to know better.

What does stand out in the brief glimpse is the background score. MM Keeravani provides the music, and it feels very different from his usual outings.

Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu directs Jayamma Panchayathi. He also provides the story, screenplay and dialogues to the movie. Anush Kumar is the cinematographer.
