Jersey Failure: Consolidates OTT Against Theaters

Jersey has been in the making for over two years and finally saw its release last Friday. But sadly, the film failed to create any hype. Though the first weekend collections are just about okay, KGF 2 has made sure that Jersey will fall flat once the weekdays start in.

This failure once consolidates the war of OTT against theaters and how big screen watching is coming down with each passing day. This factor once again proves that medium-scale high on content films are not attracting huge footfalls in cinemas.

In a way, the audience is only willing to spend money on big-scale entertainers post-pandemic. This should be a sign of worry for the industry and makers and they spent a lot of money on their projects.

Looking at all this, the message from the audience is loud & clear. They want big films with larger-than-life characters like RRR, Baahubali, Gangubai, and KGF 2 on the big screens and for remakes there is OTT.
