Nani Testing Troubled Terrains Again?

In the recent past, one must say that Nani is one of those young heroes who has been doing great in the Telugu Film Industry. Sometime back, he tried Tamil movies but they were huge disappointments. The Tamil remake of his blockbuster ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’ (BBM) didn’t work in Tamil Nadu. Somehow, Nani failed in acquiring Tamil market and he never took it forward, even.

Now, we hear that his upcoming sports drama ‘Jersey‘ will be going to Tamil Nadu as the dubbing version of the Telugu movie. We know that Nani’s straight Tamil movies couldn’t do any magic in Tamil, dubbed films also failed and even the remake of his Telugu film BBM last year was also a failure. The sensibilities of Tamil audiences are quite different from Telugu audiences, anyway. In this scenario, ‘Jersey’ will be dubbed into Tamil also when Nani himself didn’t try to expand his market in Tamil.

Nani is one of those heroes who tried trilinguals but failed. Nevertheless, looks like, this didn’t deter the decision of the makers of ‘Jersey’. Sathyaraj is playing an important character in sports drama while Shraddha Srinath is playing the heroine. Popular music director Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for ‘Jersey’. Presently, the shooting is in progress and the film is slated to release in April.
