Jilla raises hopes on Tamil star’s Puli

Jilla is the new dubbed release of Tamil star Vijay. The film’s original version was a Sankranthi release last year when our Telugu films like 1 Nenokkadine and Yevadu released. Yes, it’s that old.

However despite such long delayed release the film has opened really well for the release it got. Even on its second day the performance is steady with increased theaters. The trade is surprised with this performance naturally but the biggest beneficiary of this film is going to be Puli, they say.

Puli as it is, is a hyped film what with Sridevi making her South cinema comeback with this film. Additionally with the presence of names like Sudeep, Shruti Haasan and Hansika, this big budget fantasy film has everyone waiting with bated breath. Now with a good show through Jilla, distribution prices of Puli are expected to be jacked up further than they already were. This is surely good news for the makers.
