NTR Neel: Good Progress, Nill Hype

Director Prashant Neel is one of the most effective and efficient film makers in Indian cinema as he has the capability to execute big projects in a relatively quick timeframe and adequate budgets.

Prashanth is now working with NTR for his upcoming film, and it got underway with the shoot today. Apparently, the filming started with extra actors and juniors today.

Well, the progress regarding this project has been fairly substantial. However, in terms of hype and anticipation, it is clearly lagging behind. This isn’t the kind of hype we would associate with a film like NTR-Neel.

Considering the nature of this coming together of one of biggest mass heroes of Indian cinema and a commercially proven mass director, this film is ideally expected to set the timeline on absolute fire.

But that’s not even remotely the case with this film. It is leading to very few discussions on socials. Let alone neutrals, even fans are not to active when it comes to tweeting and hyping this film.

Earlier, when the combination of Prashanth and Prabhas was announced, this was the talking point on social media for a long time. Managed to create discussions right from the day of the announcement.

But even with NTR-Neel film being the dream project of Neel and a coming together of mass talents, there isn’t quite the same degree of optimism on this film.

It is a hard fact that it is too early to generate substantial hype. But one would associate at least talking points on the project from the outset. Even on this front, it needs to be said that this project is failing to create as much fanfare.

Now the natural expectation is that the film will progressively gain momentum and hype once the promotional material starts to come out. This could be the only logical explanation henceforth for a mega project like this one.
