Just a phone call from CBN gets AP extra Power!

While the neighbouring Telangana State is in neck deep power crisis, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is managing it effortlessly with his vast experience and good connections with the Center.

The Hudhud Cyclone had hit the Simhadri Thermal Power Plant could only produce 585 MW of Power against its 2000 MW as some units have failed. Rest of the Thermal power plants in the state are also not performing to their potential due to shortage of coal.

As the gap between the Power demand and supply increased, Chandrababu Naidu on Monday morning telephoned Union power minister Piyush Goyal and requested the center’s help. And the response is so great that the 200 mw of additional power started flowing into the state by the evening.

On the other side, the ruling party MLAs and MLCs of Telangana have staged a protest at Tankbund, Hyderabad alleging that Chandrababu is conspiring against the state by not allowing to produce power from Srisailam Left Canal and asking to preserve the water for drinking water purpose during the summer.
