
Picturehouse Media Limited, owned by PVP has filed the case in Madras high court seeking arbitration of the justice to clear the financial agreements with ‘I’ production house Aascar Films Private Limited. Justice Mahadevan granted the the interim injunction to stop the release of the film until 30th January.
Court note from judge reads, “hereby restrained by an order of interim injunction till January 30, 2015 from releasing the movie in theaters all over the country, and in any country outside India. In the meanwhile, applicant (Picutrehouse) is directed to initiate arbitration proceedings,”
Judge Mahadevan asked the involved parties to settle the issue through arbitration which means the issue could very well be sorted out any hour.
