Kaaka Vs Vishwambhara: Will Chiru Go Against Bobby?

For years, Mega fans have been waiting for clarity on Vishwambhara. Now, the film has reached a point where Chiranjeevi himself may have to make a difficult call.

Kaaka, directed by Bobby Kolli, has already locked January 13, 2027, as its theatrical release date. The makers announced the title on Chiranjeevi’s birthday and have been shooting at a fast pace to meet the Sankranthi deadline.

Vishwambhara, meanwhile, continues to remain stuck without a clear release date. The film has been in production for more than three years, and there was a hope that it would target the Dussehra season on October 16, 2026. But that also looks unlikely.

But there is now a fresh twist.

The Vishwambhara team is reportedly looking at the Sankranthi 2027 window. If that happens, Kaaka and Vishwambhara could end up fighting for the same festival slot. That creates an unusual situation. Chiranjeevi would effectively be clashing against himself.

The Kaaka team has already announced January 13 and is working towards that date. The film has also entered another crucial shooting schedule in Hyderabad.

Vishwambhara has a completely different situation. The film needs a proper release window after its long delay, and the team reportedly wants Sankranthi. But releasing both Chiranjeevi films in the same season makes little sense.

So, one of the two films will have to give way if Vishwambhara finally targets Sankranthi.

That is where Chiranjeevi comes in. The final call could now decide which film gets the biggest festival window and which one has to move. The Vishwambhara makers are reportedly set to meet Chiranjeevi soon and request him to vacate the Kaaka date for Vishwambhara. But reportedly, director Bobby is not in favor of this as he feels his film is perfect for a Sankranthi festival release.

Kaaka has the date. Vishwambhara has the urgency. Now, Chiranjeevi has to choose.
