I Would Continue My Fight – Kabali Director

In spite of the mixed response, Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ is doing a fair business. Director Pa Ranjith must be a relieved person now. One thing that is also making some headlines regarding the director is his Dalit background.

As he is touching the topic of inequalities in his movie, he is now quoted as Dalit Film Maker. However, the director isn’t happy about this tag. He is portraying these inequalities in his films because he has faced such discrimination in his life. That doesn’t mean he would like the tag.

The director explains that whether or not he is a Dalit, he would speak on the discrimination in our society which is based on caste to a larger extent. In the intro scene of ‘Kabali’, superstar Rajnikanth is seen reading Dalit literature (book) written by YB Satyanarayana.
